Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the passing away of Senior Congress leader and District President Jammu (Urban) Anil Chopra Congress today described the deceased as a dedicated congress man, saying his demise is a great loss to Party in Jammu.
Chopra who was not feeling well for quite some time breathe his last in a Hospital in Ludhian today morning.
The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee condoled the passing away of Chopra and expressed anguish over this great loss.
A meeting of Senior Party functionaries held today to condole the demise of Chopra, which was presided over by JKPCC Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat in which tributes were paid to departed Congress Leader.
The party leaders recalled the services rendered by Chopra to Congress Party and described his passing away as very unfortunate and expressed heartfelt condolences to bereaved family.
Those who were present in the meeting included Spokesperson Farooq Andrabi, Abdul, Shameema Iqbal, Abdul Gani Khan, Irfan Naqib, Mohd Yousuf Bhat, Gulzar Ahmad and others.
The party leaders termed the deceased as a man of commitment and conviction, who always remained committed to the cause of strengthening the Party from grass roots levels they added and said the deceased will always be remembered for his dedication and honesty.
The leaders offered deepest condolences to bereaved family and sympathized with them and prayed for eternal peace to departed soul.
