Following a raid by a group of tribesmen from Pakistan’s North West Frontier Province, the Maharaja of the Princely State of Jammu and Kashmir acceded to the Union of India on October 26, 1947. Pakistan objected to this decision. This led to first India-Pakistan war on Kashmir and the subsequent conflict that lingers till date. These fourteen pictures capture the scene of war
