Committee for suggesting measures for making Batote-Doda-Kishtwar road accident free

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir government has constituted a five members committee for suggesting measures for making the Batote-Doda-Kishtwar road accident free.

Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a Committee, comprising the following, for ascertaining the reasons for increasing cases of road accidents in the hilly terrain of Chenab Valley on Batote-Doda-Kishtwar Road and suggesting measures for making the road accident-free, in compliance to directions of the High Court in PIL No. 30/2019 C/W PIL No. 01/2018 WP(C) PIL No. 13/2022 titled Intakhab Ahmed Qazi v/s Union territory of J&K and another, reads the order issued by General Administration Department.

The committee members include Engineer in Chief (Secretary Technical, Public Works R&B Department Chairman, Secretary Road Safe Council Member, Executive Director (P) NHIDCL Jammu Office Member, Superintending Engineer PW R&B Circle Doda Member and Senior Superintending of Police, (Traffic) Rural, Jammu Member.
