Committee for Royalty Clearance Certificate in Mining department

SRINAGAR: A five-member committee has been constituted by the Jammu and Kashmir government for examining the requirement of implementation or otherwise of Royalty Clearance Certificate in the Mining Department.

“Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a Committee, comprising the following, for examining the requirement of implementation or otherwise of Royalty Clearance Certificate in the Mining Department”, reads the order issued by General Administration Department.

The committee members include Principal Secretary to the Government, Jal Shakti Department, Principal Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Administrative Secretary, Mining Department and Director, Geology & Mining, J&K.

The Committee shall examine all aspects of the issue and undertake stakeholders consultations before coming up with its recommendations to ensure that the system is better than earlier and adds to ease of doing business and reduces compliance burden. The Committee shall be serviced by the Mining Department and shall submit its report within a month, reads the order.
