Says tired of issuing condemnations; now people of Valley have to face direct effect of stringent security measures in the wake of killings; Situation deteriorating despite slew of anti-people measures

Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti Thursday said that the spate of civilian killings in Kashmir reflects the utter failure of what she termed “double-engine Modi government.”

“I am tired of issuing condemnations to civilian killings now. Every day there is a killing of civilians. Today, two teachers were killed,” the PDP chief told reporters.

She said that now people would face the more stringent security measures as the government will try to hide its failures by resorting to “tough security measures in Srinagar and elsewhere.”

She said that it was unfortunate to see civilian killings despite slew of anti-people measures that includes NIA and ED raids on politicians and businessmen, terminating government employees, harassing journalists and what not. “Now there will be TV debates on Goudi Media where anchors will try to trigger Hindu-Muslim fissures,” she said
