China refuses visa to Indians for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

New Delhi: China did not grant visas to a group of Indians who were planning to undertake the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra on Wednesday. As per reports, this comes hours after Article 370 was removed. Ladakh is a new union territory followed by Jammu and Kashmir.

The formation of Ladakh as a Union Territory and the Chinese reaction evoked a sharp response from New Delhi.

Following the government’s decision to revoke Jammu and Kashmir’s special status and split the state into two union territories, China on Tuesday asked both India and Pakistan to exercise restraint voicing “serious concern” over the situation in Kashmir, ANI reported.
