Jammu: Former J&K Chief Minister and President People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mehbooba Mufti stated that China has occupied our land in Ladakh and in Arunachal Pradesh. She said that the Central Government is doing done about it.
Commenting on the India-China clash in the Yangtse area of Arunachal Pradesh, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti slammed the BJP-led Central Government.
“I have already said they (Chinese) occupied our land in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh, as per the statement given by the BJP member of the Parliament. But unfortunately, BJP is doing nothing about it. Our soldiers have been beaten up by them and they are not allowed to retaliate. This is a very sorry state of affairs,” Mehbooba Mufti told ANI.
Briefing the Parliament on the India China clash in Tawang sector, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh told the Parliament that the Chinese soldiers tried to transgress the LAC in Yangtse area of Tawang Sector and unilaterally change the status quo. However, PLA’s attempt was thwarted by the Indian soldiers posted in the area.
“Ensuing face-off led to a physical scuffle in which the Indian Army bravely prevented the PLA from transgressing into our territory and compelled them to return to their posts. The scuffle led to injuries to a few personnel on both sides. I wish to share with this House that there are no fatalities or serious casualties on our side,” the Defence Minister told Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on December 13.
