Chhattisgarh: All-party meeting to be held to discuss pandemic situation, measures for prevention

In Chhattisgarh, an all-party meeting will soon be held to discuss the situation arising out of corona infection and measures for its prevention.  Representatives of different political parties as well as heads of various social groups will be invited to this meeting to be held virtually in the presence of Governor Anusuiya Uikey and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
 
AIR Correspondent reports that during the meeting, details regarding steps taken by the state government so far will be shared. Suggestions will also be invited to curb the spread of corona infection. Meanwhile, 13,576 new corona-infected patients were identified in the state yesterday.
 
In Chhattisgarh, about 4 lakh 57 thousand Covid positive patients have been found so far. Yesterday 107 people died due to corona infection in the state.  Currently, about 99 thousand infected people are undergoing treatment in various hospitals or in home isolation.
 
Covid vaccination campaign is also going on vigorously in the state.  In Chhattisgarh, about thirty five lakh people above the age of 45 years have been vaccinated against the Covid -19. Approximately 57 percent of the people in this age group have been vaccinated. 
 
Meanwhile, due to the closure of schools in Chhattisgarh, the state government has decided that all school children will be given forty days of dry ration under the Midday Meal Scheme.
