Chenab College of Education organizes an extension lecture on NEP-2020

Jammu: The Chenab College of Education, in collaboration with council for Teacher Education (CTEF – J&K Chapter) organized an extension lecture on Thursday on the theme ‘National Education policy NEP (2020): futuristic approach to teacher education’.

The resource person in this occasion was Dr. Jaspal Singh Warwal, coordinator B.Ed. programme, Directorate of Distance Education, University Jammu.

At the outset, the Principal of the College Dr. Sunita Sharma welcomed the resource person and presented bouquet to him. Dr. Singh deliberated in detail on the different tenets of NEP viavis teacher education and 4 years, 2 years and 1 year programme and the differentiation thereof.

The resource person, Dr. Jaspal Singh Warwal enlightened the students as well as faculty about the NEP 2020 with special reference to teacher education.

Dr. Singh also emphasized the need of creative and hardworking pupil teachers in teaching profession. The programme was indeed very interesting and informative to all and was attended by the students and faculty of the college.

In the end, an interactive session was also held wherein the pupil teachers clarified their doubts regarding the methodologies.

The programme ended with vote of thanks by Megha Jasrotia.
