CEO’s in Kmr directed to install biometric attendance system within 3 months

SRINAGAR: To ensure the punctuality of the staff, the education department has enjoined the Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of the Kashmir division to install a Biometric Attendance System within three months.

An official communiqué issued by the officer on special duty to Directorate of School Education Kashmir has impressed upon all the Chief Education Officers to install Biometric Attendance System in Institutions for ensuring punctuality of staff within three months.

The order reads that the officer was directed to request the CEOs to provide details and updated status of institutions where the Biometric Attendance System is installed till date.

Earlier on July-06, the Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department in a circular had asked the concerned authorities to install the Biometric Attendance System in all Schools to capture the attendance of the Teachers for ensuring punctuality in Schools within three months.

Accordingly, the Chief Education Officer was asked to ensure the installation of Biometric attendance systems in all the Schools to capture attendance of Teachers and is advised to submit an action taken report—(KNO)
