Centre engages with Indian Academy of Pediatrics to provide expert care to children at govt Child Care institutions across country

Centre has engaged with Indian Academy of Pediatrics to provide expert care to children at government Child Care institutions across the country. Women and Child Development Minister @SmritiIraniOffc

said, this will be in addition to medical care provided to children under the scheme for Child Protection Services.

She said, Care-takers and Child Protection Officers even from remotest corners of the country will be able to avail this telemedicine service by expert Pediatricians every afternoon six days a week. The Minister said, thousands of children across more than two thousand Child Care institutions will benefit through this service.

Ms Irani said, currently teams of experts, from a strong network of 30 thousand Indian Academy of Pediatrics members, are being constituted at Central, Zonal, State and City level to offer services to vulnerable children.

Thanking the Indian Academy of Pediatrics and its members for offering their services to vulnerable children, the Minister said, their commitment and Centre’s resolute efforts will make expert medical consultation just a phone call away for children living in Child Care Institutions.
