Cancer treatment, precancerous lesions made accessible to economically vulnerable population through Jan Arogya Yojana: Dr Harsh Vardhan

Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has said that treatment of cancer and precancerous lesions is being made accessible to the economically vulnerable population through Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

Addressing the inaugural session of the 17th World Congress for Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy, yesterday, Dr Harsh Vardhan said, India is strengthening all levels of cancer care. He said, India is one of the few developing countries that have formulated the national cancer control program. The Minister said, in 2016, India had launched the operational guidelines for screening of common cancers – cervical, breast, oral and Cervical Cancer.
