Bush fire triggers landmines along LoC in Poonch

POONCH: The bush fire that broke out in the intervening night of Sunday-Monday has engulfed many areas along the Line of Control in the Poonch district.

Reports said that LoC areas of Mendhar and Mankote sectors of Mendhar subdivision are under forest fire, which started in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday and is presently spreading further.

The areas where forest fire broke out are located along the line of control close to the civil population. A few explosions due to anti-personnel landmines have also been reported from the area, reports said —(KNO)
