BUDGAM: Police on Thursday evening claimed to have arrested a burglar after he along with his associate attempted to loot J&K bank ATM and attacked the guard in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Budgam told that on Thursday evening, unknown persons barged into J&K bank ATM at Nasrullah Pora Budgam and tried to loot the ATM.
He said that when the guard tried to stop them, he was attacked, resulting in injuries to him following which the guard was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. SSP said that one of the suspected burglars was arrested immediately. The identity of the second burglar ascertained, he said, adding that both appear to be drug addicts—(KNO)
