Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti here on Wednesday told legislative council that she would take up the issue of the construction of bunkers with the home ministry and exhorted both India and Pakistan to fight unitedly against poverty as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered Indi’s hand of cooperation to Pakistan for fight against poverty in his recent interview.
According to the KNS correspondent, replying to question raised by NC legislator Shahnaz Ganaie on the construction of bunkers for people living in border areas in the legislative council the Chief Minister said not bunkers but reconciliation between India and Pakistan would mitigate the suffering of border populations.
Maintaining that border populations in both India and Pakistan are the casualties of firing on borders in Jammu and Kashmir the Chief Minister said she would take up the issue of the construction of bunkers with the home but the ultimate solution lies in good neighborly relations between India and Pakistan.
