SRINAGAR: The train services from Banihal to Baramulla and vice versa have been suspended as a precautionary measure amid the killing of SPO and his brother by militants in the Chudbugh area of central Kashmir, authorities reiterated on Sunday.

They said that that the residence of the killed duo falls in close vicinity of the railway track and the decision has been taken keeping in the safety of the people.

“Train service has not been suspended because of law and order. Once the track is cleared train services will move (resume).” (GNS)
