SRINAGAR: Amid closure of Sadhna road,  Border Security Force (BSF) personnel airlifted four persons in need of medical assistance from snow-bound Tangdhar to district headquarters Kupwara.

Officials told that four patients were airlifted on a request made by the district administration, as Sadhna Pass (Nasta Cxun) road, connecting Tangdhar with district headquarters Kupwara, continues to remain shut for vehicular traffic dues to snow accumulation.

“The four evacuated patients include two men and two women”, they said. IG BSF Kashmir Raja Babu Singh told that the act was ‘part of their compassion towards Kashmiri people.’

“Looking after the well being of Kashmiri people is our topmost priority, the officer said, adding “we are here to win hearts and minds of the local populace through our benevolent and compassionate deeds.” (GNS)
