BMC floats global tender for one crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has issued a global Expression of Interest for procurement of one crore doses of vaccines for Mumbai and the last date of submission of EOI is 18th of May. The civic body has included a specific condition to exclude the vaccine manufacturers from China, which says that bids from companies in countries that share land borders with India will not be considered. Similarly, FDA approval and guidelines of ICMR are mandatory for the supply of the vaccines. DCGI approval is also required to supply the vaccines in Indian territory. It has also been mentioned that the applicant needs to get all the essential permissions, licences and compliances within India under different laws and regulations of the Central Government as well as State Government.
