Bihar man arrested for supplying arms to LeM chief

Police arrests senior journalist in Kashmir

Jammu, Feb 20: Jammu and Kashmir police Saturday arrested a man from Chapra in Bihar for supplying arms and ammunition to Lashkar e Mustafa chief Hidayatullah Malik, who was recently arrested in Jammu.

Malik, the LeM Commander was arrested by Jammu police from the Kunjwani area of Jammu on February 6 and arms and ammunition were also recovered from his possession, according to police. Inspector-General of Police Jammu zone, Mukesh Singh told the news agency that person Javaid Alam Ansari has been arrested from the Chapra area of Bihar with the assistance of ATS Patna.

“He has been arrested in connection with supplying arms to arrested LeM commander Hidayaat Ullah Malik,” the IGP Singh said. He added that further investigation of the case is going on.
