Bihar govt bans all public gatherings on Holi in wake of surge in Covid-19 cases

Bihar government has banned all public gatherings or events on the day of Holi today in wake of surge in Covid cases. Security forces have been deployed at sensitive places to ensure these orders are implemented strictly.

Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that no variant of the Covid-19 virus has been found in any positive cases till date. Mr Pandey said the state government would continue on this issue.

Meanwhile, 351 new cases were recorded on a single day yesterday. With this active cases have mounted to one thousand 1346 in the state. However Covid -19 recovery rate is 98.90 percent in Bihar with Two lakh 62 thousand 36 patients recovering from the infection in the State so far.
