SRINAGAR: A female bear (sow) and her two cubs were rescued by officials in Dardpora Kunzer in the Tangmarg area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday afternoon.
Reports said that the sow alongside its two cubs was found roaming around the habitation by the local residents this morning. Subsequently, police was, informed, following which a team of uniformed men from police station Kunzer and officials of the Wildlife Department from Tangmarg arrived at the spot. After hours of effort, the female bear and her cubs were rescued. A Wildlife Department official confirming it said that the bear and the cubs will be relocated to Dachigam Park here. (GNS)
