Beneficiaries to get insurance cover of Rs 2 lac
BANDIPORA: The District Administration Bandipora has launched a special fortnight drive for enrollment of beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojna (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna (PMSBY).
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad said the administration has decided to enroll all the beneficiaries under PMJJBY for insurance cover up to Rs 2 lakh with annual premium of Rs 436.
Under PMBSY the premium of Rs 20 shall be auto debited from the beneficiary account for insurance coverage of Rs. 2 lakhs, in case of death in Harness/ disability.
Dr Owais directed the departments to fill the Declaration formats of the beneficiaries, workers, labors, Outsource workers etc. viz Agriculture, Horticulture, Handicrafts, Handloom, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Employment, labor, DIC, KVIB, Health, Education, R&B, PDD, Jal Shakti, NHPC, NRLM, Fisheries, Geology and Mining, Municipalities, RDD, Floriculture, Sericulture, SICOP, Revenue, WUCMA etc.
He urged them to fill the consent format of the beneficiary and handover in bulk to LDM Bandipora.
The beneficiaries may also get themselves registered through Lead Development Bank or contact LDM Bandipora Shabir Ahmad Dar for clarification if any.
Through the circular, DC impressed upon all the concerned stakeholders and Block level Officers to ensure enrollment of beneficiaries under PMSBY, PMJJBY scheme and complete the process of registration within shortest possible time.
He asked LDM to remain closely coordinated and intimate the progress on a weekly basis.
