B2V2, Srinagar: Officers reach out to profile people’s dev concerns


SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 26: First leg of ‘Back to Village’—phase II concluded in eight Panchayat Halqas of Srinagar district—constituting Lasjan-A& B of Srinagar block, Panzinara-A& B of Qamarwari block, Khonmoh-A&B of Khonmoh block, and Dara-A and Faqir Gujri-B of Harwan block.

During the programme, the constitution day was also observed in these Panchayat Halqas. The visiting officers read preamble and pledge for justice, liberty and equality—which were repeated by the line department officials.

The designated officers hold public meetings and brought forth a range of developmental requirements of these areas besides conducting field visits to take stock of works approved under Phase-I of the programme, which was held in June this year.

The officers assured the people that their grievances and demands have been compiled and will be presented to the district administration for further action.

The people raised several grievances including macadamization of roads, construction of drains, water logging, electricity, drinking water, works under MNREGA, reconstruction of culverts, establishment of additional ration ghats, repair of electric poles, installation of street lights, development of health, educational and playfields infrastructure with the visiting officers.

The visiting officer distributed MNREGA job cards among the beneficiaries and briefed the masses about various Government sponsored welfare schemes.

On the occasion, officers from various line departments including PDD, PHE, R&B, RDD, Social Welfare, Forest, I&FC, Handicraft, Education, Health, Geology & Mining, FCS&CA and Revenue Department were present.

The designated officer, Deputy Director Social Welfare, Zeenat Ara visited Lasjan-A and CEO Sonmarg Development Authority visited LasjanB- Panchayat Halqa Srinagar, Chief Accounts Officer Estate Syed Altaf Hussain visited Khonmoh-A, Deputy Director Finance Shafat Ahamd visited Khonmoh-B,  Assistant Commissioner Sails Tax Waseem Raja and Assistant Director Fisheries Zahoor Ahmad Mir visited Panzinara-A and Panzinara-B of Panchayat HalqaQamarwari respectively. While Private Sectary Civil Aviation Mohammad Ashraf Shora visited Dara-A and Assistant Executive Engineer Technical Education Mushtaq Ahmad Bahudur visited Fakir Gujri-B, Panchayat Halqas of Block Harwan.

B2V2, Day 2 in Pulwama: DC inaugurates public recreation park, distributes sports kits

PULWAMA, NOVEMBER 26: On the 2nd day of ‘Back to Village’ Phase-II (B2V2) programme, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer today inaugurated public recreation park and ERTC room at PHC Kakapora.

Director Finance Health & Education, Mohammad Rafiq Hajam was also present on the occasion.

The DC also distributed sports kits among the players here at Government Boys Higher Secondary School and Government Boys High School Puchal.

On the occasion, DDC was apprised by the locals about the issues being faced by them regarding water supply, electricity and roads in their respective areas.

At Kakapora, locals demanded filling and levelling of School ground, adequate water supply, shifting of Higher Secondary from old building to newly constructed one. While as the locals at Puchal demanded potable water supply, macdamization and repair of roads.

The DDC, on the occasion, assured the deputations that the issues raised by them would be looked into and all of their genuine demands will be addressed at an earliest.

Meanwhile, on the second day of B2V2 programme, awareness programmes regarding social security and welfare schemes besides feedback of various Government-sponsored developmental schemes was taken by visiting officers at their assigned Panchayats.

Director Finance Tourism, Lateef Ahmad Poswal inaugurated development works of Sports Stadium and cremation ground at Ladoo Block Pampore. At Wuyan Bala, Under Secretary Hospitality and Protocol, Manzoor Ahmad Jan inaugurated restoration/conservation of springs. While as,   AE, Nisar Ahmad Sheikh inaugurated development works of interior roads at  Panchayat Halqa Hatwari and Allochibagh Block of Pampore.
