B2V2, Anantnag: Public raise issues of power, water supply, other basic amenities


ANANTNAG, NOVEMBER 25: ‘Back to Village’ Phase II (B2V2) programme commenced in 126 Panchayat Halqas of 07 blocks of Vessu, Qazigund, Shahabad, Verinag, Hiller, Breng and Larnoo in district Anantnag.

The Director Finance, Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani visited Panchayat Halqa Omoh, ADDC Kulgam, Reyaz Ahmad Sofi visited Thamankoot Panchayat Halqa and other senior officers from various departments went to their designated Panchayat Halqas of Larkipora-B, Vessu-B, Dreyan, Dalwatch  and other Panchayat Halqas of the district. The visiting officers interacted with the general public, PRIs, civil society members, prominent citizens, members of Auqaf Committees, students and heard their grievances and suggestions with regard to the development of the villages including development of the basic infrastructure and amenities.

The participants put forth various demands relating to Power supply, Water supply, banking facilities, installation of transformers, construction of approach roads, supply of HT/LT, polls and de-silting of Irrigation Lands etc.

The DDC Anantnag, Khalid Jahangir also visited GHSS Vessu and GDC Levdora were “B2V2” programme of Panzath-B Panchayat Halqa and Panchayat Halqa of Levdora, Qazigund were conducted.

The DDC on the occasion said that the demands and issues raised in “B2V1” were documented and foundation stone of most of the works will be held in these blocks on November 26, 2019. He also assured the public that their genuine demands will be addressed and also directed the concerned officers for taking necessary action.
