Azad, Mehbooba congratulate Dr Farooq on re-election as NC chief

SRINAGAR: Former Chief Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad and Mehbooba Mufti on Monday congratulated Dr Farooq Abdullah on being re-elected as National Conference party president.

Congratulating Dr Farooq, Azad said that he prays for the good health of Mr Farooq Abdullah and his long spell in Jammu Kashmir politics.  “Since he has again been elected as party president I am sure Jammu Kashmir politics will thrive and will expand the democratic space,” he added.

“Healthiest congratulations to Dr Farooq Abdullah Sb for being elected president of JKNC unopposed. His leadership is paramount in the struggle for rights and dignity of the people of J&K. Wish him good health and long life,” Mehbooba Mufti tweeted.
