Govt issues avalanche warning for 7 districts of J&K, Ladakh

SRINAGAR: The authorities have issued avalanche warning issued in 7 districts in next 24 hours.

An official said, “Avalanche with *HIGH Danger Level* is likely to occur above 2200 metres above sea level over *BARAMULLA and GANDERBAL districts in next 24 hours”.

He added, “Avalanche with *MEDIUM Danger Level* is likely to occur above 2500 metres over BANDIPORE, DODA, KISHTWAR, KUPWARA & RAMBAN* districts in next 24 hours”.

People living in these areas are advised to take precautions and avoid venturing in the avalanche prone areas.
