Avalanche warning issued in 3 districts in Kashmir

Govt issues avalanche warning for 7 districts of J&K, Ladakh

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority Tuesday issued an avalanche warning in three districts of valley.

“Avalanche with MEDIUM Danger Level is likely to occur above 2550 metres over KUPWARA district in next 24 hours. And Avalanche with LOW Danger Level is likely to occur above 2600 metres over BANDIPORE & GANDERBAL districts in next 24 hours”, reads the statement issued by JKDMA

People living in these areas are advised to take precautions and avoid venturing into avalanche-prone areas.
