Attack on minority: LeT militant arrested in Budgam says Police

BUDGAM: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday claimed to have arrested one more Hybrid militant in connection with Grenade attack on Minority community in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, officials said.

In a handout, the police said that in a case of grenade attack on minority in Budgam in which 02 hybrid militant were arrested on Saturday (20th August-22). During further course of investigation of said Case FIR number 147/2022, budgam Police today arrested one more hybrid militant of prescribed outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba who is involved in grenade attack on minorities.

The police spokesman further stated that incriminating material of Lashkar-e-Toiba and One hand Grenade has been recovered from the possession of the arrested hybrid militant.

The arrested hybrid militant has been identified as Suhail Ahmad Malik son of Abdul Hamid Malik resident of Panzan Chadoora, he said.

Further investigation into the said case is going on more arrests and recoveries are expected, reads the statement.

It’s pertinent to mention that one Minority member was injured in Grenade attack at Gopalpora.(GNS)
