At least 10 dead in Mumbai hospital fire; PM Modi, Guv Koshyari express grief over incident

At least 10 patients being treated for Covid-19 at Sunrise Hospital in Mumbai’s Bhandup area died in a fire that broke last night, while over 70 others were evacuated. The bodies of two others, who died of Covid-19, were also recovered.
 
Sunrise Hospital CEO Dr Hafeez Rehman said some patients were missing following the incident, and efforts were underway to identify and find them. He also added that the families of the deceased who died of Covid-19 had been informed of their deaths prior to the fire.
 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the loss of lives due to a fire at a hospital in Mumbai. Mr. Modi has prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
 
Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has expressed grief on the loss of lives in the fire incident.
