Army organises ‘Qaumi Ekta’ meet at Asthanmarg

RAMBAN: With the aim to promote peace and harmony in the area, the Indian Army organised ‘Kaumi Ekta Meet’ at Asthanmarg in Ramban District on Monday.

Local panchayat members, religious leaders and eminent personalities from the area participated in the event, which saw positive exchange of opinions and ideas amongst the participants aimed towards inculcating spirit of religious harmony and strengthening bond amongst communities.

As many as 15 civilians from various walks of life from areas of Asthanmarg and nearby villages participated in the event, said an Army spokesman.

The event also provided them with a platform to interact and put forth ideas for development in the area and instill sense of security and confidence. The initiative would boost bonhomie amongst the population from various religion and also strengthen connect between Indian Army and Awam, the spokesman added.
