ARMY ESTABLISHED BAKERY AT KALAKOT.

In today’s contemporaneous day scenario, the women of underdeveloped remote expanse are also looking forward to becoming self-reliant and strive hard to improve their and their family’s quality and standard of life. Kalakot based local Army unit appreciated and recognised this requirement of the local civil population and came out with a pedagogy project to help create employment opportunities for the women of the precinct, by assisting and aiding them to enhance their skills. Indian Army in collaboration with Aseem Foundation NGO started Corn Products and  Caramelized Walnuts Bakery for the women at Kalakot.

Corn Products and Caramelized Walnuts Bakery for unemployed women was conducted and piloted at Kalakot. 10 unemployed women from Kalakot were selected and trained for 21 days, starting. During the course of the period, these women were imparted with practical knowledge about bakery operation and the mediums related with the same. This initiative, is a nanoscopic part of overall effort of the Indian Army towards women empowerment in order to enable them to seek better job opportunities and to make them capable of initiating their own ventures and become self- reliable. Indian Army believes in them with the quote ‘women were born to do great things and build great foundations, they can, they only need to believe in themselves’.

The Municipal Committee Chairman and general public of village Kalakot conveyed their gratitude for this enterprising initiative for positive engagement of the unemployed women to pursue a line of profession with better opportunities and to hope for a brighter and prosperous future.
