Army captain dead, officer injured in Jammu mishap

An Army captain died while another officer sustained injuries on Thursday after the vehicle they were travelling in rammed into an electricity pole in Jammu outskirts, officials said.

Officials said that the duo was travelling in the SUV and rammed into a pole at Akalpur Morh.

The duo was taken to the hospital where Army captain, Rakshit (26) succumbed to his injuries.

The other trooper who sustained injuries was identified as Lt Ranvijay Singh.

Officials said that the body of the Army captain was handed over to the Army after postmortem at GMC Hospital.
