Anti-Corruption Case: Govt suspends ARTO Kupwara among three Transport Dept officials

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government Friday ordered suspension of three officials of Transport Department, including ARTO Kupwara in a pending inquiry of Anti-Corruption case.

An order in this regard has been issued by General Administration Department, Jammu and Kashmir.

The order reads, “Pending enquiry, the following officer, officials of Transport Department are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect in terms of Rule-31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) RICA. 1956.”

The officers include Mohammad Mukhtar Sofi, ARTO, Kupwara, Khursheeci Ahmad Kanna, Motor Vehicle Inspector and Abdul Harnid Bhat, Motor Vehicle Inspector.

“It is further ordered that Transport Department shall initiate departmental proceedings (RDA) against the suspended officer/officials in terms of extant rules. During suspension the suspendees shall remain attached with the Office of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir”, the order reads.
