Jammu: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be arriving here at Jammu on Friday.
Shah earlier was scheduled to visit Jammu only on March 19 as a special guest in the 83rd Raising Day ceremony of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) being organised first time outside the national capital but the visit has been extended to two days.
Official sources said Shah will arrive here tomorrow afternoon and will take review of prevailing security situation and the developmental works underway across the Union Territory.
Notably, Centre has been focussing on major development in Jammu and Kashmir after the revocation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and top brass from administration, police, army, paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies will brief the Union Minister.
This is the second visit of Amit Shah to Jammu in five months as earlier in October he was on five days visit to Jammu and Kashmir to review security in the aftermath of targetted killings of non locals, police personnel and Panchayat members.
However, it is also learnt that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be visiting to Jammu and Kashmir on April 24 on Panchayati Raj Day.
He is expected to interact with Panchayat members besides launching worth crores industrial investment schemes.
