Aisha, Mehvish, Adil from Valley win Gold at Goa Int’l Karate C’ship

JAMMU: In yet another moment of great pride, two young girls and a boy from Kashmir have won Gold Medals in the International Karate Championship held in Goa.

They include Aisha bin Ramzan from Kuligam Lolab and Mehvish Rashid from Chogal, Handwara, both from Kupwara district, and Adil Yousuf from Hayatpora, Budgam district of the Valley.

The trio won the gold medals in their respective categories, in the championship that was held in Goa on November 5 and 6.

Around 950 players from all across the India, Nepal, Bangladesh participated in the championship. The International Karate Championship was organized by Shotokan Karate Do Indian Association (SKIA) and was supported by Shotokan Karate World Association.
