PULWAMA: After a brief lull, a fresh exchange of fire has started between government forces and militants in the Mitrigam area of Pulwama on Wednesday.
An official told that a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Mitrigam Murran.
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight, he said. He said that during the initial exchange of fire one soldier received injuries and was shifted to the hospital for treatment.
