Advisory issued for media fraternity working in Ramban

RAMBAN: The District Information Officer Ramban has issued an advisory for the media fraternity working in the district.

In an advisory, a copy of which lies with The Dispatch, “All media persons working in District Ramban have been informed that the department of Information and PR shall always support the healthy journalism and reporting to keep the public informed of happenings around and for receiving the feedback/ aspirations of the public required for effective and inclusive Implementation of government policies and schemes for the people’s interest.

“However, at the same time, the department shall take strict action against those involved in spreading hatred, seeding animosity, and disrupting the communal and social fabric of society”, it reads.

DIC Ramban shall report on a regular basis to the District Magistrate, Ramban and law enforcement agencies about the contents in all kinds of media which have the potential to create Law and Order problems or are anti-national/ anti-social in nature. Therefore, it is advised to act responsibly while reporting sensitive issues, the advisory reads.
