Administration committed to develop infrastructure for sports activities: DC Dr. Owais

Final of 4th Open Kashmir Cricket Championship held at S. K Stadium
Bandipora: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Dr. Owais Ahmad said on Friday that the Administration is committed to develop sports infrastructure to facilitate youth in every kind of sports activities in the district.
He stated this during final match of 4th Open Kashmir Cricket Championship held at S.K Stadium Bandipora on Friday. DC Dr. Owais Ahmad was chief guest on the occasion. He also distributed trophies and mementos among participants.
It was informed that the championship was organised by Hashmee Cricket Club in collaboration with Ali’s Sports Academy Bandipora.
48 teams participated in the championship and the final was played between Alfa Trading and Bandipora Knights.
Alfa Trading won the final and were rewarded with a cash prize of Rs. 85000 and a huge fibre trophy while the runners-up team were awarded a cash prize of Rs.55000 and a trophy.
The DC hailed the efforts of organisers and appreciated the youth for participating in such events.
Padmashree Fasial Ali Dar, Chairman MC Bandipora, senior sports persons and other concerned were also present on the occasion.
