SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has reconstituted Apex Level Selection committee for social Audit Unit (MGNREGA).
In supersession of Government Order No.910-GAD of 2019 dated 02.08.2019, sanction is hereby accorded to re-constitution of Apex Level Selection Committee, comprising the following, for selection of Director, Social Audit (MGNREGA), Social Audit Resource Persons/Experts at UT/Divisional level(s) and District Resource Persons (DRPs) for setting up the Social Audit Unit under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 read with rule 4 of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Audit of schemes Rules, 2011 , reads the order issued by General Administration Department.
The committee includes Chief Secretary, J&K or any other Officer to be nominated by the Chief Secretary (of the level of Chief Secreta as Chairperson. Administrative Secretary, Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Member. Representative of Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India (not below the rank of Director -in case of Director Social Audit Member. Director Rural Sanitation J&K (in case of UT & District Level Resource Person Co-opted Member. Representative of NIRDPR from Centre for Social Audit (in case of UT & District Level Resource Person Member, Director Social Audit (in case of State & District Resource Person Member Convener and Representative of Civil Society Organization to be nominated b the Social Welfare Depatment Member.
The term and reference of the committee shall be to recommend the selection of Director, Social Audit and Social Audit Resource Persons/Experts and District Resource Person (DRP); and Recommend the termination of Director, Social Audit and Social Audit Resource Persons/Experts and District Resource Person (DRP) in case of unsatisfactory performance.
The committee shall be serviced by the Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj.
