SRINAGAR: The Union Territory administration has constituted a committee(s) for registration in Jammu and Kashmir.
In terms of revised Registration of Births and Deaths Rules, 2022 notified vide S.0 494 dated 10th October, 2022, sanction is hereby accorded to constitution of Union territory Level Inter Departmental Coordination Committee and District Level Inter Departmental Coordination Committee(s), with the following composition, on registration of Births and Deaths in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, reads the order issued by General Administration Department.
UT level Inter Departmental Coordination Committe will have 12 members who shall ensure smooth implementation of Civil Registration System; to bring interdepartmental co-ordination of departments engaged in civil registration to resolve the operational problems affecting the registration work; discuss and resolve the issues which requires intervention at the top level; iv. to co-ordinate, unify and supervise the work of registration for securing an efficient system of registration and any other issues for smooth implementation in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir; and vi. to convene meeting(s) at UT Level at least once in a vear.
District Inter Departmental Coordination Committcc(s) shall have 8 members who have been tasked to ensure smooth implementation of Civil Registration System; bring interdepartmental co-ordination of departments engaged in civil registration to resolve the operational problems affecting the registration work; discuss and resoÅe the issues requires intervention at the top level; iv. to co-ordinate, unify and supervise the work of registration for securing an efficient system of registration; any other issues for smooth implementation in the districts; and vi. to convene quarterly meeting(s) at District Level.
