Absent for over a year, constable suspended

Suspended

Jammu: A Selection Grade Constable (SgCT) of Jammu and Kashmir Police has been suspended for remaining unauthorized absent from duties.

The suspended policeman has been identified as Amar Singh. An official said that Amar Singh was absent from duty for one year and two months after deserting sensitive security posting at district police lines (DPL) on December 23, 2021. Adding that he said, “Amar Singh continues to remain absent”.

The suspension order has been issued by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Benam Tosh. Reports suggest that the suspended police official was given ample opportunities by the police department to resume duties. However, he failed to do so.
