Continuing its drive to crackdown upon cross LoC Drug smugglers in Uri area, Police today arrested one Nazir Ahmad Teehkray son of Maqbool Tehkray resident of Jabla, Kamalkote Uri and recovered 800 grams of Brown sugar from him.
The said consignment had been smuggled from Pakistan via LoC and the accused is lives in the close vicinity of LoC.
Case FIR Number 40/2018 under sections of 8/20 NDPSA has been registered in Police Station Uri and Investigation has been taken up.
Pertinent to mention that in the past some months Police has apprehended many such drug smugglers from the area and some of them have been also booked under Public Safety Act.
Police is determined to wipe out all gangs and modules smuggling drugs from Pakistan with active support of some elements across LOC.
