In Union Territory Chandigarh, a total of 62 patients of Mucormycosis are admitted in various hospitals and out of them only 10 are from Chandigarh. Advisor to Administrator of Chandigarh Manoj Parida said, the Chandigarh Administration has placed the order for 2000 vials of Liposomal Amphotericin B injection, used for the treatment of Mucormycosis, with Mylan company for supply costing about Rs 1.2 Crores. He said, all efforts are being made to make available the drugs needed for treatment of patients suffering from Black Fungus.
