Baramulla, Dec 8: The District level Screening Cum Co-ordination Committee (DLSCC) on Tuesday cleared 50 militancy related cases for ex-gratia in this north Kashmir district, an official spokesman said this evening.
He said a meeting of DLSCC was held today under the Chairmanship of District Magistrate (DM) Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo.
The meeting cleared 50 cases out of a total of 57 cases taken up for resolution.
He said out of these 50 cases, six cases were cleared for ex-gratia relief and Rs 1 lakh each while four cases were cleared for cash compensation among which Rs 4 lakh each in lieu of government employment.
Moreover, 40 cases pertaining to property damage were also cleared and Rs 12.29 lakh were sanctioned among the affected families. However,07 cases were referred to the General Administrative Department (GAD) for want of clarification and permission for re-examination.
While deciding the appointments, the eligibility including qualification of the applicants was also taken into account besides the reports from Police, CID and Army were thoroughly discussed and the necessary guidelines as per SRO-43 were also kept in view.
Meanwhile, Re-verification and dependent certificates in some cases were sought during the meeting.
