 35% of 18-44 age group given first dose in Central Kashmir

Over 26,000 persons received second dose in Central Kashmir

SRINAGAR: The Covid-19 vaccination drive is going on at full pace in Jammu and Kashmir and so far around 35 per cent of people between 18-44 age have been given their first dose of the vaccine in central Kashmir.

An official from the Srinagar, the district told, that out of 6,22,249 persons in the 18-44 age group 20,88,923 persons have received the first dose of the Covid vaccine while as 23,332 persons have received the second dose of vaccine in the district.

He said that in total 34 per cent of people have received the first dose of Covid vaccine in the 18-44 age group.

An official from Ganderbal said that of 149,956 persons coming in the 18-44 age group, 60,265 persons have received the first dose while just 649 persons have received the second dose. He said the percentage of persons who have received the first dose of vaccine is 40.

An official from Budgam said that of 347,917 persons in the 18-44 age group, 103,659 persons have been given the first dose while 2,255 persons have been given the second dose.

He said that in Budgam 30 per cent of people in the 18-44 age group have received their first dose. In aggregate, 34.66 per cent people have received the first dose and 26,236 persons have received the second dose of Covid vaccine in three districts of Central Kashmir—(KNO)
