3 thieves arrested, stolen property recovered in Kashmir

Budgam: Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday arrested three thieves and recovered stolen property from them in central Kashmir district of Budgam.

A police spokesperson said that during the intervening night of January 19 and January 20, 2019, burglars broke into a shop at Magam Town in Budgam and stole some items from the shop.

“A case was registered and investigation was taken up,” he said.

He said after following various leads, three accused persons — identified as Ishfaq Ahmad, Jehangir Ahmad and Irfan Ahmad — all residents of Hard Souresh Khag were arrested.

“The accused confessed to their crime and gave away the location where the stolen property was kept,” he said.

He said a team was sent to the area and the stolen property was recovered.
