3 KAS probationers deployed at Jammu Airport as duty magistrates for Covid-19

J&K Govt forms Coordination Cell to monitor implementation of online services

Jammu, Mar 01: Government on Monday deployed three junior Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) probationers at Jammu Airport for Covid-19 duty.

An order, a copy of which lies with the news agency reads “In continuation to this officer Order No. DC/PS/2019-20/996-1001 dated 14-032020 regarding the subject cited above. The officers are hereby deployed at Airport, Jammu as Duty Magistrates in order to perform COVID-19 duties with immediate effect.”

The officers who have been deployed include Mohammad Shaharyar Dar, Khalil Bhandey and Varnika Raj.

“The deployment of the officers to this order is made under National Disaster Management Act, 2005 and failure to comply with the order shall invoke the provision under Section 56 of National Disaster Management Act, 2005,” the order further reads.
