Just 229 cases active in Jammu division
SRINAGAR: The active cases have once again started to increase in three districts of Kashmir and these districts alone share around 85 percent active cases in the Valley.
As per the details available, around 47 percent active cases in Kashmir are from Srinagar district alone with over 600 cases active positive at present while as just 49 cases are active from Jammu district.
Data also reveals that around 85 percent active cases in Kashmir are from Srinagar, Baramulla and Budgam and in entire J&K these three districts share 70 percent of the total active cases.
“In total there are 1301 active cases in Jammu and Kashmir which includes 1072 from Kashmir division and 229 from Jammu division while 903 cases are active from just three districts of Kashmir division,” the figures reveal.
In rest of seven districts of Kashmir there are just 169 active cases as no district among them has active cases over 35, the figure states, adding that out of 1071 active cases in Kashmir 603 are from Srinagar, 157 from Baramulla, 133 from Budgam, 28 from Pulwama, 34 from Kupwara, 22 from Anantnag, 27 from Bandipora, 24 from Ganderbal, 29 from Kulgam and 05 from Shopian.
The figure reveals that in Jammu out of 229 active cases, 49 are from Jammu district, 06 from Udhampur, 26 from Rajouri, 56 from Doda, 01 from Kuthua, 05 from Samba, 16 from Kishtwar, 13 from Poonch, 12 from Ramban and 45 from Reasi—(KNO)
