SRINAGAR: Acting tough against the persons involved in anti-national/anti-social activities, police have booked 03 persons under PSA in Baramulla and Bandipora after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority. Besides, a notorious drug smuggler has been booked under PIT-NDPS Act in Baramulla.
In Baramulla, the accused person identified as Tanveer Ahmad Khan son of Abdul Rashid resident of Taripora Sheeri has been booked under the Public Safety Act for his involvement in anti-national activities after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority. The booked person has been detained and subsequently lodged in District Jail Kathua.
In Bandipora, police have also booked two persons under PSA for their involvement in anti-national/anti-social activities after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority. The duo identified as Hilal Ahmad Parray son of GH Ahmad Parray resident of Kochak Mohalla Hajin and Ab Hameed Parray son of Gh Nabi Parray resident of Syed Mohalla Hajin have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot Balwal Jammu.
It is pertinent to mention here that many cases were registered against them and were involved in anti-national/anti-social activities. Despite their involvement in many FIRs, they did not mend their anti-national/anti-social activities and were again involved in such types of activities.
Moreover, police in Baramulla have booked a notorious drug smuggler identified as Irfan Rasool Lone @Danish son of Gh Rasool resident of Fatehgarh Sheeri under the PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority. The booked drug smuggler has been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu.
Pertinent to mention that many cases are registered against the said drug smuggler and was involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Fategarh, Sheeri, Heewan & other areas of District Baramulla. Despite his involvement in many FIRs, he did not mend his activities and was again involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth.
Consistent actions of Police against the criminals should reassure the community members that police is making all efforts to treat the anti-national/anti-social elements in accordance to law and also making its efforts to eradicate social evils and making all efforts to keep our society free from drug abuse.(
