Dr Bilal visits Bogund, listens to issues of people

Participates in Gram Sabha proceedings at Panchayat Halqa- Bogund

KULGAM: Continuing endeavors to reach out to the people to provide governance at their doorsteps, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today visited Bogund village where he listened to the issues and demands of people for redressal.

People and PRI members from the village apprised the DC about their issues and put forth their demands including upgradation of Middle School to High School, augmentation of staff at Health centre and other demands were flagged-off by the people.

The DC gave a patient hearing to all the demands and some of the issues of immediate nature were redressed on the spot.

Earlier, the DC also participated in proceedings of Gram Sabha which was held in Panchayat Halqa Bogund.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that Gram Sabhas are being conducted across the district and active participation of people is vital in these gram sabhas so the people can prioritize developmental requirements of their areas.

He also informed the participants that anti- encroachment, eviction drives which are being carried out across the district are just to retrieve encroached land from the influential persons who have misused power and position and not for poor and landless people.

The DC was accompanied by ACR Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz, ACD Mohammad Imran and other Officers during the visit.
